AAN TV has gathered that Terrorists are making plans to attack  the 50 Megawatts Electricity Gas Plant in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

The terrorists are dissatisfied that power is still available in Maiduguri and the surrounding areas despite their repeated attempts to disrupt the calm by damaging electricity poles at the Yanayakiri-Garin Kuturu of Jakana in the Kaga Local Government Area and Yobe state, respectively.

AAN TV gathered that the terrorists have deployed their spies within the city of Maiduguri to observe  activities around the electricity Power Plant for an onslaught.

It should be recalled that on December 28, 2023, AAN TV reported that ISWAP Terrorists perpetrated the destruction of a 330KVA high-tension transmission line situated along the Maiduguri-Damaturu Highway.

The explosion also killed one personnel of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

Also, on December 21, ISWAP vandalised two transmission towers near Katsaita village, resulting in a disruption of power supply to sections of Borno and Yobe states.

The incident involved the collapse of a 330kV transmission tower, subsequently bringing down tower T373 along the same transmission line route. This disruption adversely impacted the power supply to regions in the Northeast, specifically Yobe and Borno States.
