Renowned Kenyan actor, Charles Ouda, widely recognized as Charlie, has passed away at 38, as confirmed by his family in a statement issued on Saturday night.
The details surrounding his demise remain undisclosed, and the family has urged everyone to respect the privacy of his mourning fiancée, Ciru Muriuki, and the entire family.

Ciru Muriuki, formerly a presenter at BBC Africa, and Ouda joyfully announced their engagement in September last year.
Beyond his acting prowess, Ouda showcased versatility as a film director, songwriter, filmmaker, scriptwriter, voice-over artist, and event manager. He also left an indelible mark as a television show host.
His notable contributions include hosting the beloved Kenyan kids show “Know Zone” and the TV drama series “Makutano Junction.” Ouda’s achievements were acknowledged with numerous awards, including the 2016 Best Director Prize and the 72-Hour Shoot Out Judges Choice Award at the Asian American Film Lab Awards.
Expressing their condolences, MultiChoice Kenya, an entertainment firm, hailed Ouda as a beacon of hope in the film industry.
