Paris 2024 Women Olympics: Winner of Nigeria Versus South Africa Match to Face Brazil, Spain in Group C

The winner of the Two-legged tie between the Super Falcons of Nigeria and Bayana Bayana of South Africa will join Brazil, Spain and Japan in Group C of the Paris 2024 Women’s Olympic Football.

The draws were made on Wednesday night at the Le Pulse Building in Saint-Denis, Paris. The draws were hosted by Three-time Olympic Gold Medalists, Marie-Jose Perec, Chelsea and Ivory Coast Legend, Didier Drogba, Argentinian Ex-International, Javier Saviola and Former Canadian Goalkeeper, Stephanie Labbe.

African Champions, South Africa will play the Super Falcons of Nigeria on the 5th of April 2024 before the second leg on the 9th of Aril 2024. The winner of the two-legged matches will qualify for Paris 2024 Olympics where they will face Brazil, Spain and Japan in Group C. Banyana Banyana defeated the Democratic Republic of Congo and Tanzania in the first and second rounds of the 2024 Olympic qualifiers respectively before setting up a final clash with the Nine Time African Champions, Nigeria.

The Super Falcons of Nigeria defeated Ethiopia and Cameroon respectively to advance to the last round. In Group B, The winner between Morocco and Zambia in the other Olympic Qualifier will face Four Time winners, USA , Australia and Rio 2016 Gold Medallist, Germany. Nigeria are aiming to reach the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament for the third time, Zambia and South Africa for the second time, and Morocco are looking to earn the country’s inaugural Olympic appearance.

The Women’s Olympic Football Tournament will kick off on the 25th of July and end on the 10th of August 2024.
