Reports indicate that Lawmakers in Edo State has impeached the State’s Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu.
It was gathered that Shaibu was impeached on Monday morning April 8, 2024.
The impeachment occurred subsequent to the Assembly adopting the report of a seven-member investigative panel tasked with probing allegations of misconduct against Shaibu.
Earlier this week, the impeachment proceedings were initiated and concluded with a dramatic vote resulting in Shaibu’s removal from office.
