Their journey began with a victory over Morocco in the quarter-finals of the Africa U-18 Women’s Handball Championship in Monastir, Tunisia, followed by a commendable third-place finish in the Nations Cup after defeating Angola.

The team’s impressive performance extended to the IHF Women’s Trophy, where they dominated the Africa Zone 3 phase and continental phase in Ghana and Congo Brazzaville respectively. Despite falling short against Kosovo in the final of the IHF Women’s Trophy Intercontinental Phase in Uzbekistan, Nigeria secured a remarkable second-place finish in the global championship.
