Nigeria’s Football Governing Body, The NFF has unveiled plans for a new Football Awards initiative set to recognize and honor outstanding players and coaches in Nigerian football every month.

This initiative aims to spark positive conversations both locally and internationally, highlighting the immense contributions of individuals within the Nigerian football scene. The Awards will feature seven categories initially, shining a spotlight on the brilliance of players and coaching staff across various aspects of the sport.

More than just a platform for individual recognition, the NFF Awards will also present valuable sponsorship opportunities, fostering support for the growth and sustainability of football in Nigeria. By celebrating achievements and promoting engagement among fans, the Awards seek to elevate Nigeria’s football profile on the global stage, ensuring that discussions about the sport remain vibrant and ongoing.

The NFF envisions that this initiative, alongside the lively discussions it will inspire both online and offline, will play a significant role in revitalizing domestic leagues and attracting the attention of private sector stakeholders to invest in Nigerian football.

Stay tuned for further updates on the Awards, including details on categories, the nomination process, and the official launch date, which will be announced in the coming weeks.
