Nigeria’s under-17 national team , The Golden Eaglets secured an impressive 6-0 victory against P. Sports Academy in a friendly match at the FIFA Goal Project, Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja.

This marked the Golden Eaglets’ third friendly encounter in as many days against football academies in the Federal Capital Territory, having previously registered one win and two draws.

After starting with a 1-1 draw against Ikon-Allah Academy on Monday, April 23rd, followed by another 1-1 draw with Miracle Football Academy on Tuesday, the team, led by coach Manu Garba, demonstrated their attacking prowess against P. Sports Academy on Thursday. With two goals in the first half and an additional four after the break, the five-time world champions showcased their readiness for the upcoming WAFU B tournament.

The WAFU B U-17 Championships scheduled to take place in Ghana will provide Nigeria with an opportunity to defend the title they clinched at the regional tournament in 2022.
