Nigeria: Two Kano College Students Drown in Boat Accident

Two students of Audu Bako College of Agriculture, Makoda, on Wednesday, drowned in Thomas Dam in Kano State while attempting to cross the dam in a boat.

The Public Relations Officer, Kano State Fire Service, Saminu Abdullahi, confirmed the incident in a statement on Wednesday.

He said the victims were identified as Abubakar Sanusi, 22, and Salisu Ado, 21.

Their third colleague,  Ibrahim, 21, was rescued alive and is currently receiving medical attention at Dambatta General Hospital, the PRO said.

He explained that  Sanusi and Salisu were rescued unconscious and later succumbed to their injuries.

The PRO emphasised that the service had commenced investigation into the cause of the incident.
