Ghanaian Referee, Adaari Abdul Latif will referee Thursday’s WAFU B U17 Championship Group B opener between five-time world champions, Nigeria and Burkina Faso at the Accra University Stadium.

Latif will be assisted by compatriot, Emmanuel Dolagbanu (assistant referee 1), and Niger’s Sakina Hamidou (assistant referee 2) and Brahamou Sadou Ali (fourth official). The game is scheduled to kick off at 3 pm Ghana time (4 pm Nigeria time) today.

Latre-Kayi Edzona Lawson-Hogban from Togo will act as the match commissioner, while Ivorian Songuifolo Yeo will serve as the referee assessor.
The championship doubles as a qualifying competition for next year’s Africa U17 Cup of Nations. The Golden Eaglets will face Niger Republic on Sunday, May 19th before playing Togo on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024.

The match against Niger Republic will also take place at the University Stadium, while the clash with Togo will be held at the Accra Sports Stadium.
