English Premier League side, Nottingham Forest has extended the contract of Nigeria’s defender, Ola Aina by one more year.

The former AC Torino defender who joined the Reds on a transfer last summer played a wonderful part in the club’s survival from relegation to the English second-tier division Championship. He made 22 appearances for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side in the just concluded 2023/2024 English Premier League season claiming the Goal of the Month award once at the club.

Aina speaking on the club’s website revealed “I’ve been really happy with my time spent here at Forest and the fans have been great, “I’m really looking forward to seeing what the future holds.” Chief Football Officer Ross Wilson added: “Since Ola joined the club last summer he has impressed all of us with his performances both on the pitch and also with the positive personality that he brings to the group every day.

Nottingham Forest escaped relegation finishing the season with thirty-two points , nine wins, nine draws and twenty defeats.
