Julius Malema, leader of South Africa’s radical Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), has specified the conditions under which his party would consider forming a coalition with the African National Congress (ANC).
Malema emphasized that one of the EFF’s key demands is the expropriation of white-owned land without compensation, calling it a “cardinal principle” of the party. He made it clear that the EFF would not compromise on this issue in any negotiations with the ANC.

“There are certain fundamental things which are deal breakers,” Malema stated.
Despite this firm stance, Malema expressed a willingness to collaborate with the ANC. “If there is one party we can work with, it’s the ANC because when the ANC is comprised, they are not arrogant, you can work with them,” he explained.
In the recent election, the EFF lost its third-place position to former President Jacob Zuma’s new party, uMkhonto weSizwe (MK). Malema responded graciously to this outcome, describing MK’s performance as “commendable” and “decisive.”
