The quartet of Ikorodu City, Nasarawa United, Elkanemi Warriors, and Beyond Limits have been promoted to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Ikorodu City will debut in the country’s premier football league after they were promoted with the other three teams securing their slots following the NNL Super 8 playoff.
In the Southern Conference of the NNL, Ikorodu City and Beyond Limits were the top two teams, while in the Northern Conference, Elkanemi Warriors and Nasarawa United finished at the top.
Elkanemi Warriors secured their promotion by defeating Sokoto United 4-1, earning six points to finish second. Meanwhile, Nasarawa United clinched their spot in the NPFL with a 2-1 victory over Sporting Supreme, which gave them nine points.
Both Elkanemi Warriors and Nasarawa United were relegated from the NPFL last season and have now secured their return to the top tier.
