This sub-committee is tasked with organizing all futsal and beach soccer competitions and addressing all related matters. Nigeria has historically been a strong force in beach soccer, both continentally and globally. The Supersand Eagles won the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations in 2007 and 2009 and reached the quarter-finals of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Italy 13 years ago.

Recently, the Confederation of African Football conducted the draw for this year’s Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations qualifying series. The Supersand Eagles are set to play against Mauritania in a home-and-away series next month. Fourteen countries will participate in the qualifiers, with the seven winners joining hosts Egypt in the finals.

Mauritania will host the Supersand Eagles between July 19th and 21st, with Nigeria hosting the return leg a week later. For the first time, the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup will be held on African soil, with Seychelles hosting the tournament next year.
