Anthony Joshua will face Daniel Dubois in an all-British showdown for the IBF world heavyweight title at Wembley on the 21st of September after Oleksandr Usyk decides to vacate the belt.

It was announced on Wednesday that Dubois has been confirmed as Joshua’s opponent. Usyk, 37, made history as the first heavyweight to hold the IBF, WBO, WBA, and WBC belts after defeating Tyson Fury by split decision in Saudi Arabia in May.

Usyk said in a video posted on social media that “Anthony and Daniel, listen. I know the IBF title is important to you. It is my present to you on September 21,”. Britain’s Lennox Lewis was the last man to unify the major heavyweight belts — three at the time — before Usyk, achieving this feat in 1999.

Two-time world champion Joshua, 34, has 28 victories and three losses in his career, while Dubois, 28, has won 21 of his 23 fights.
