Actively Black, an American-owned athleisure and sports apparel company, will outfit Team Nigeria for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The company was founded by former basketball player, Lanny Smith, the company previously dressed the Nigerian team for the 2022 Winter Olympics through Dr. Seun Adigun.
Mr. Smith was first connected to Team Nigeria by Dr. Seun Adigun, a former track and field athlete who represented Nigeria in the 2012 Summer Olympics and later founded Nigeria’s bobsled team, which competed in the 2018 Winter Olympics.
Mr.Smith said “For An American brand to dress the Nigerian team is proof that Actively Black was built for the Black Community”, and when I say that, I don’t mean just African Americans, I mean we are a global brand for the entire diaspora.
The 2024 Summer Olympics, officially known as Paris 2024, will take place from July 26 (opening ceremony) to August 11, 2024, in France. While Paris is the main host city, events will also be held in 16 other cities across Metropolitan France.
