Nigeria: Former Delta State Community Leader Killed by Unknown Gunmen

Former community leader Comrade Anselm Oyibo of Obodougwa-Ogume, Ndokwa West LGA, Delta State, was reportedly killed by unknown gunmen.

On the night of June 30, 2024, at around 11:30 PM, Oyibo left his home after receiving a phone call and did not return.

Given that he had two wives, his family initially assumed he had gone to visit his second wife. However, when he did not come back the next day and attempts to contact him by phone failed, concerns grew.

Tragically, the family later received information about a burnt body found with a motorcycle at a nearby junction. They confirmed that the remains were indeed Oyibo’s. His body has since been taken to the morgue.
