Kebbi Beach Soccer Club clinched the 2024 Nigeria Beach Soccer League title, marking their dominance by winning their third title in the event’s three-year history.
The club secured the championship with a stellar performance in the Super 4 Tournament, held in Kaduna. This weekend’s triumph saw Kebbi BSC claim the title for the third time in four editions, showcasing their exceptional skill and dedication to the sport.

The finals at Murtala Muhammed Square in Kaduna followed two rounds of games in Kebbi and Anambra State, where Jigawa GS BSC and Nmanko Patigi BSC did not qualify.

The Super 4 playoffs in Kaduna featured thrilling matches, with Kebbi BSC defeating Kebbi United BSC and Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors to clinch the title. Despite a 3-2 loss on penalties to Kada Stars of Kaduna, Kebbi BSC’s six points in the finals secured their third championship and the N600,000 winners’ prize. Anambra Warriors finished second, earning N400,000, while Kebbi United placed third, taking home N300,000. Kada Stars finished fourth, receiving N200,000.

Kebbi BSC also produced the tournament’s MVP, Hassan Abdullahi. Kebbi United’s Sadiq Umar was the highest goalscorer with 17 goals, Umar Aliyu was named Rising Star, and Festus Bashorun of Anambra Warriors was the best goalkeeper. Kada Stars won the Fair Play trophy.
With the conclusion of the 2024 Nigeria Beach Soccer League, the beach soccer community now turns its attention to the Supersand Eagles’ preparations for the 2024 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Mauritania, with the first leg in Nouakchott on July 20 and the return leg in Nigeria a week later.
