The Federal Government has announced an ambitious plan to create 4.4 million jobs through the implementation of Nigeria’s National Strategy for Competitiveness in Raw Material and Product Development. This plan was revealed by Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji, Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, during a conference in Abuja.
The strategy aims to boost local content in manufacturing, targeting an increase to 50% in raw materials and 80% in products, to ensure Nigerian goods meet global standards and enhance their international competitiveness.
The initiative is designed to improve Nigeria’s economic diversification and global presence by fostering innovation and leveraging technology to elevate the quality and acceptance of Nigerian-made products and services.
Minister Nnaji emphasized that achieving global competitiveness is crucial for producing goods that meet international standards, and the strategy will play a key role in this effort.
