Nigerian duo of Rosemary Chukwuma and Tima Godbless competed in the women’s 100m at the Stade de France, aiming to advance to the semi-finals after an outstanding NCAA season.

Chukwuma, seeded in Heat 5, secured her spot in the semi-finals by finishing 3rd with a time of 11.01 seconds, trailing Ewa Swoboda (10.99 seconds) and Dina Asher-Smith (11.01 seconds).

Unfortunately, Tima Godbless, who competed in Heat 7, placed 6th with a time of 11.33 seconds despite a strong start. The reigning African Champion, Gina Bass, won the heat in 11.01 seconds, followed by Mujinga Kambundji (11.05 seconds) and Delphine Nkansa (11.20 seconds).

Chukwuma will return to the track tomorrow for the semi-finals.
