Nigeria’s D’Tigress will face the United States in the quarter-finals of the women’s basketball event at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The Nigerian team made history by reaching the last eight for the first time after a 79-70 victory over Canada in their final group game. Initially topping Group B with five classification points, their position shifted to third after Australia defeated France 79-72.
The D’Tigress will play the defending champions, USA, on August 7 at 9:30 pm. This marks their second Olympic matchup, following a narrow nine-point loss to the Americans in the Tokyo Games and another defeat in the 2024 Olympic qualifiers.

In other quarter-final clashes, Serbia will face Australia, Spain will take on Belgium, and France will play against Germany.
