In a tragic night of violence, the village head of the Gefe community in Kufana chiefdom, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Emmanuel Idan, was killed by bandits along with two other individuals.
According to local reports, the bandits stormed Gefe village at midnight on Thursday, heading directly to the residence of the village head, where they shot him and another local dead. In the aftermath of the attack, fourteen villagers were abducted and taken to an undisclosed location.
The violence continued in the nearby Maro community, also within Kajuru Local Government, where the bandits shot a middle-aged man in both legs. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries while being rushed to the hospital.
On the same night, in the Keke community of Millennium City within Chikun Local Government Area, bandits abducted the wife and three children of a journalist, Bashir Mohammed, who had just arrived in Kaduna from Kogi State for a holiday. The family members, alongside eight others from their relatives’ house, were taken by the attackers.
