Nigeria duo of Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi featured for Nottingham Forest in their 1-1 draw against Bournemouth in their Premier League opener on Saturday.

Aina started the match but was substituted in the 54th minute due to a minor injury, while Awoniyi came on in the 72nd minute. Chris Wood put Nottingham Forest ahead in the 23rd minute but Ghana’s Antoine Semenyo equalized for Bournemouth with just four minutes remaining.

In another Premier League Match, Joe Aribo played for Southampton in their 1-0 loss to Newcastle United at St. James’ Park. Despite being reduced to 10 men, Newcastle secured the win with Joelinton’s 45th-minute goal.

Arsenal kicked off their title quest with a 2-0 victory over Wolves at the Emirates, courtesy of goals from Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka. In other results, Liverpool defeated Ipswich Town 2-0, and Brighton dominated Everton with a 3-0 win at Goodison Park.
