Morocco’s annual inflation rate, as tracked by the consumer price index, decreased to 1.3% in July, down from 1.8% in June, according to a report released by Morocco’s statistics agency on Monday.
This decline was largely influenced by a modest rise in food prices, which increased by 0.5% compared to the previous year. Non-food inflation also saw an increase of 1.8% year-on-year.
Core inflation, which excludes volatile items, showed a slight month-on-month increase of 0.1% and a 2.1% rise year-on-year.
