Former Sweedish Coach, Janne Andersson has confirmed that he is in discussions with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) regarding the vacant Super Eagles coaching position.
The 61-year-old coach has been without a job since departing from the Swedish national team last November and has recently been linked to the Super Eagles role.

Andersson expressed his enthusiasm about the interest from the NFF, stating, “I can confirm that I have had a dialogue with the Nigeria Football Federation. It’s a huge footballing nation, so I’m extremely flattered to be in the running to be their next national team coach.”

He added, “The dialogue is ongoing, and I don’t want to say much more at this point. I have been in this industry for so long and know that things can happen in different ways. So we’ll see what happens in the future.”
