A fire on Sunday engulfed a two-storey residential building at 14 Oko Baba Street, off Ibadan Street, Ebute-Metta, Lagos, destroying items worth millions of naira.

The fire, which broke out around 11:30 a.m., started in a flat on the top floor.

As of 2 p.m., the cause of the fire remained undetermined.

The affected units included a two-bedroom flat, a room and parlor self-contained unit, and a single room.

Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported. 

The fire was extinguished by the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, federal firefighters, and the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority
