Their historic journey began with a win over Australia, who later recovered to claim the bronze medal and move up to second place in the rankings.

The USA proudly retains the top spot after clinching gold at the Women’s Olympic Basketball Tournament in Paris 2024, maintaining their dominance with a remarkable 10th title and 8th consecutive win, amassing 883.3 ranking points.

France made a significant leap, moving up four places to secure third place in the rankings. Fueled by the energy of their passionate home fans, they achieved a silver medal after a narrow loss to the USA, matching their best-ever Olympic result.
