At least 10 maritime travelers are feared to have been abducted by sea pirates along the Bonny-Port Harcourt waterway early Monday morning. The incident, involving a group of people traveling between Bonny and Port Harcourt, has sent shockwaves through the local community.

Israel Pepple, the district Chairman of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria in Rivers State, confirmed the abduction, stating, “It’s not a rumor; it is real. Ten persons have been kidnapped this morning while coming from Bonny to Port Harcourt. We’ve reported the incident to the security agencies.”
