Former President Olusegun Obasanjo held a closed-door meeting with former Military President Ibrahim Babangida (IBB), former Head of State Abdulsalami Abubakar, and former National Security Adviser Aliyu Gusau in Minna, Niger State.
Obasanjo arrived in Minna on Sunday at around 4:15 pm, following a chartered flight from Edo State, where he had earlier visited the Esama of Benin Kingdom, Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, to celebrate his 90th birthday.
Upon his arrival, Obasanjo proceeded directly to Babangida’s Hilltop residence, where Abdulsalami and Gusau were already in attendance. While the specifics of the meeting were not disclosed, insiders suggest the discussions may have revolved around the escalating insecurity and banditry affecting Niger State and Northern Nigeria.
