The Ogun State Government has unveiled plans for a $5 million battery recycling facility backed by a British company.
Governor Dapo Abiodun made the announcement after a meeting with British High Commissioner Richard Montgomery in Abeokuta.
Abiodun noted the UK’s interest in diversifying investments across various sectors, including health, education, and agriculture.
The new plant will focus on recycling e-waste, converting battery cells back into chemicals, and exporting minerals for new battery production
