In a decisive operation, troops killed notorious bandit leader Dan Kundu, brother of Usman Modi Modi, during a clash at 9:00 PM in Katsina State. Security forces intercepted Kundu’s gang after they attempted an attack in Kurfi, acting on reliable intelligence.

This incident comes days after Nigerian troops eliminated another notorious bandit kingpin, Baleri Fakai, along with 30 of his associates in the Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
