Nigeria Super Eagles and Bayer Leverkusen striker, Victor Boniface, has shared his journey from paying ₦30 as a young fan to watch Champions League matches, to now fulfilling his dream of playing in the prestigious competition.

In a post shared by the footballer on X, Boniface expressed his excitement after making his Champions League debut during Bayer Leverkusen’s 4-0 win against Feyenoord on Thursday.

Reflecting on his remarkable journey, Boniface said, “From paying 30 naira to watch the Champions League… to playing my first Champions League game. Proud of this moment.”

Boniface joined Bayer Leverkusen in 2023 from Union SG in a deal valued at over €21.7 million.
