Akwa Ibom State mourns the passing of its First Lady, Patience Umo Eno, who died following a brief illness.
The news was confirmed in a statement by Ini Ememobong, the state’s Commissioner for Information, in the early hours of Friday.
According to the statement, Mrs. Eno passed away on Thursday in a hospital, surrounded by her family.
Ememobong conveyed the gratitude of Governor Umo Eno and the family for the outpouring of support during this difficult time. He added that further details regarding her passing will be shared in due course.
