Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface scored for Bayer Leverkusen, but his goal wasn’t enough as they were held to a 2-2 draw against Holstein Kiel at the Bay Arena on Saturday.

Boniface, fresh off his midweek strike against AC Milan in the Champions League returned to Bundesliga action against newly-promoted Holstein Kiel. He opened the scoring in the 4th minute for the Bundesliga Champions before Jonas Hoffman doubled the lead in the 8th minute as the first half ended 2-1 with the away side scoring one back to reduce the deficit.

Jann Fiete Arp scored a 69th-minute penalty to deny the Home side a win. Bayer Leverkusen are now fifth on the log with 3 wins 2 draws and 1 loss. Despite Kiel’s underdog status, with only two points from their first five matches, they managed to secure a hard-fought draw against Leverkusen.
