Miners Communications Limited; publishers of The Miners online (www.theminers.com.ng) and The Miners Magazine has been appointed the official media partner of the 2024 edition of The Nigeria Mining Week scheduled to hold between 18th to 20th November,2024 at the Abuja Continental Hotel.


This followed an agreement signed on the 9th of October by Alhaji Mikail Mumuni, Managing Director of Miners Communications Limited and Nicola Siyo of Vuka Group.

Siyo is the Marketing Strategist of The Nigeria Mining Week.


The agreement was facilitated by the Mining Association of Nigeria (MAN) which has Mr Dele Ayanleke as President.

The agreement confirms that the organisers of the event are mindful of the contributions, to the mining sector, of all the publications from the stable of Miners Communications Ltd and are impressed by what the media outfit stands for.

To this end The Miners has been authorised to report the event daily from the venue and to produce PR pieces for the successful execution of the International event.


The event will gather all the major stakeholders in the mining industry from around the world, looking to invest; do business or improve their operations in the region.


Other key features of the event include: • Indoor and outdoor exhibition • CEO roundtable • B2B networking meetings • Networking Cocktails • 3 days conference programme.


While commenting on the appointment, the Managing Director of The Miners, Alhaji Mumuni expressed his happiness and stated that the breakthrough was achieved through hard work of the team and their commitment to ensuring that the sector becomes a major source of revenue for the nation.


According to him “We are thrilled to be partnering with the group for the next chapter of The Nigeria Mining Week as we continue to build our brand and accelerate our relevance in the international community”


Meanwhile, the Federal Government has through the Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals Development. once again confirmed its commitment to the Nigeria Mining Week conference and expo with its official endorsement and pledge of support.


Dr Mary A. Ogbe, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry conveyed this in a statement, saying that : “The Ministry recognizes the valuable platform [the event] provides across the mining ecosystem to exchange ideas, explore business opportunities, and forge partnerships that will further the frontiers of mining in Nigeria and across the continent.”


The Permanent Secretary described Nigeria Mining Week as an “esteemed gathering” that aligns with the Ministry’s strategic goals to enhance Nigeria’s mining sector as a key driver of economic growth.
She added that : “The Ministry is committed to fostering a robust environment that not only supports but also propels the mining industry in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda under the current administration.”


She also commended the event organisers, Vuka Group, for their “ongoing dedication to Nigeria Mining Week” and said she was anticipating that “this year’s conference will set a new precedent for innovation and collaboration in the mining sector.”


The theme of this year’s Nigeria Mining Week conference is “From the inside out: Building the mining sector to be the cornerstone of Nigeria’s economy.”

Nigeria Mining Week is an annual event and online platform for all the mining stakeholders and influencers in the public and private sectors wanting to do business in Nigeria. Established 9 years ago, it is organised by the Miners Association of Nigeria (MAN) in collaboration with PwC and Vuka Group and is supported by Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals Development.
