CAF Set to Hold 2024 Women’s Champions League  Draw in Morocco Today

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that the official draw for the CAF Women’s Champions League Morocco 2024 will take place at the Complex Mohamed VI in Salé, Morocco today Friday, October 18, 2024.

The draw will begin at 12:00 PM local time (11:00 AM GMT) and will be streamed live on CAF’s digital platforms, including YouTube, and partner networks.

The final tournament is scheduled for November 9-23, 2024, and will feature five debutant teams: Aigles de la Medina (Senegal), EDO Queens (Nigeria), University of the Western Cape (South Africa), Tutankhamun (Egypt), and CBE FC (Ethiopia). They will compete alongside two-time champions, Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), 2022 winners and hosts ASFAR (Morocco), and returning team, TP Mazembe (DR Congo), who missed the previous edition in Côte d’Ivoire.

Former ASFAR player and current assistant coach of the U-23 Morocco Women’s National Team, Fatiha Laasiri, will serve as the draw assistant. Laasiri, a pioneer in Moroccan women’s football, has made significant contributions to the sport’s growth and continues to inspire aspiring female footballers across Africa.
