It was gathered that voting commenced late in some part of kaduna like the Tudun Wada area in Kaduna South Local Government Area where election commenced around 3.30pm.

Speaking to newsmen on the phone, the PDP spokesperson, Maria Dogo, said there was no election in Kaduna.

She said, “Election materials were taken to local government offices without contacting party agents and there were no result sheets among the materials.

“This is unacceptable and we want to tell the general public that local government election was not held in Kaduna.”

The Chairman of the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KAD-SIECOM), Hajiya Hajara Mohammed, had reassured the public that the election results would not be manipulated.

She also cautioned politicians to avoid inciting violence or spreading hate speech and urged all political parties to support the commission in ensuring peaceful, credible polls.

79 chairmanship candidates from 10 political parties including APGA, APC, PDP, NNPP, PRP, LP, YPP, ADC, ZLP and AA are expected to participate in the election
