CAF President, Dr. Patrice Motsepe expressed his satisfaction with the growth of Beach Soccer across all 54 CAF Member Associations, emphasizing its importance at the 2024 CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations Final in Hurghada, Egypt.
Defending Champions, Senegal clinched their fifth title, defeating first-time finalists, Mauritania.
Dr. Motsepe stressed the need for more African nations to engage in regular and competitive Beach Soccer to strengthen Africa’s global standing in the sport. “It’s vital that African Beach Soccer remains competitive on the world stage,” he stated, noting Senegal’s dominance, with five titles in the last six tournaments.

With Africa set to host the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Seychelles in May 2025, the focus is on showcasing the continent’s talent. Dr. Motsepe praised Egypt for hosting a successful tournament and congratulated both Senegal and Mauritania, who will represent Africa in Seychelles next year. He added, “I wish Senegal and Mauritania all the best as they take African Beach Soccer to the world stage.”
