A magistrate court in Kuje, Abuja, has granted N500,000 bail to House of Representatives member Alex Ikwechegh, who faced charges over an alleged assault on Stephen Abuwatseya, a Bolt driver.

Ikwechegh appeared in court on Wednesday, where he was arraigned on three counts, including assault and making threats to life. The charges were filed by the inspector-general of police’s office, and the lawmaker pleaded not guilty to all counts.
