Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies of South-Africa got their title defense back on track with a decisive 4-0 victory over Central Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) in the CAF Women Champions League on Wednesday .

After a surprising 1-0 loss to Egyptian newcomers FC Masar on Saturday, the South African champions regrouped to deliver a dominant performance against CBE. Sundowns set the tone in the first half, scoring all four goals early. Melinda Kgadiete led with a brace, while Joyce Rabale and Lelona Daweti added a goal each, establishing a clear lead that CBE struggled to challenge.

This second consecutive defeat, following a 3-0 loss to TP Edo Queens, marks the end of CBE’s debut run in the CAF Women’s Champions League. For Sundowns, the win offers a critical boost as they prepare for a decisive match against Edo Queens on Saturday to determine if they will advance in their title defense in Morocco.
