Manchester United’s interest in Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen has stirred excitement among fans, with reports suggesting a potential swap deal involving Joshua Zirkzee.

Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has been in outstanding form during the 2024/25 campaign, scoring eight goals and delivering four assists in just nine appearances for the Turkish giants.
Italian journalist, Gerardo Fasano claims United’s new head coach, Ruben Amorim, is eager to bring the Nigerian forward to Old Trafford. The proposed deal could see Zirkzee, who has struggled to make an impact, moving to Napoli in exchange.

“Manchester United is said to be on the trail of Victor Osimhen. I have been told that the English, through mister Amorim, could include the former Bologna striker Zirkzee in the negotiations for Osimhen,” Fasano told Area Napoli.
The rumors have sparked a wave of enthusiasm among United supporters, with many taking to social media to voice their excitement. “I want Victor Osimhen in Man United,” tweeted fan Akan Imoh.
Another fan, @bennimxUTD, expressed optimism about Osimhen’s potential impact, stating, “Beautiful. Bring him, he will make us the title contender.” While some fans have admired other strikers, Osimhen remains a standout favorite.
“I know I’ve been singing Gyokeres’ praises lately, but Osimhen is and still remains my dream striker for Man United,” wrote @groovymono.
The prolific striker has been a sensation at Napoli, amassing 76 goals and 18 assists in 133 appearances since joining the Italian club. Despite interest from Chelsea and Arsenal, Osimhen has remained committed to European football, previously rejecting offers from Saudi Arabia.

United’s current strikers, including Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund, have struggled, managing just three Premier League goals between them this season. The addition of Osimhen could offer a much-needed boost to the Red Devils’ attacking options.
With a contract at Napoli running until 2026, negotiations may prove challenging, but fans remain hopeful. “Osimhen to United, God make this a reality,” wrote @zadde_yo.
The coming weeks will reveal whether United can secure the Nigerian international amidst growing competition from other top clubs.
