The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has approved the implementation of the N70,000 national minimum wage for workers under the FCT Administration.

In a statement released on Tuesday in Abuja, the Acting Head of Civil Service for the FCT, Grace Adayilo, confirmed that the minister has also approved the payment of three months’ arrears to the workers.
Adayilo described the decision as a demonstration of Wike’s commitment to prioritizing the welfare and well-being of FCTA workers.
“This gesture will further motivate workers of the administration to support the minister’s efforts in advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu,” she stated.
She also expressed gratitude to the minister for his prompt approvals of staff allowances and claims, emphasizing his dedication to ensuring timely payments and fostering worker satisfaction.
