For the crucial bronze-medal clash, Coach Moses Aduku made three changes to the lineup, introducing Blessing Illiveida, Mary Mamudu, and Esther Inyang. Despite their tactical superiority and relentless attacking efforts, Edo Queens struggled to create decisive opportunities to breach the Egyptian side’s defence.

The penalty shootout proved to be the decider, with FC Masar holding their nerve to claim a 4-3 victory, securing the bronze medal. Edo Queens finished in fourth place in their debut continental campaign.

As runners-up in the classification match, Edo Queens earned $300,000 in prize money, while FC Masar walked away with $350,000. Both teams can take pride in impressive performances during their maiden appearances in Africa’s premier women’s club competition.
