Nigeria and Fulham Midfielder, Alex Iwobi scored a brace as they defeated Brighton and Hove Albion 3-1 at the Craven Cottage on Thursday Night .
The 28-year-old has been in outstanding form, scoring five goals and providing three assists in 14 league appearances this season. His most recent contributions came in a brilliant brace against Brighton and Hove Albion.

Iwobi’s double against Brighton elevated his total goals for Fulham to 11, making him the highest-scoring Nigerian in the club’s history. He surpasses Sone Aluko, who had nine goals for the Cottagers. Of Iwobi’s 11 goals, 10 have come in the Premier League, making him the 24th Fulham player to achieve double figures in the competition.
In comparison to other Premier League stars this season, Iwobi’s five goals put him level with players like Bukayo Saka, Alexander Isak, and Luis Diaz. Beyond his goals, the former Everton and Arsenal man delivered a standout performance against Brighton, becoming the first player this year to achieve the following in a single top-flight game:

- Score two goals.
- Complete more than three take-ons.
- Win more than five duels.
- Regain possession over five times.
Iwobi’s brilliance coincided with a record-setting night for Fulham. Marco Silva’s team equaled their club record by scoring in 13 consecutive top-division matches this season. They have also both scored and conceded in all seven of their Premier League home games—a feat last achieved in the 1950/51 season from the start of a campaign.

Fulham will face a significant challenge this weekend when they take on title-contenders Arsenal at Craven Cottage on Sunday. Iwobi, a former Arsenal player, will look to continue his incredible form against his old club.
