The 2024 CAF Awards, a prestigious event honoring African football excellence, will take place today, Monday December 16th 2024 at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech, Morocco.
This year’s ceremony will recognize the continent’s top football talents and contributors over the past year, with celebrated broadcasters Kate Scott and Jalal Bouzrara as co-hosts.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) confirmed the hosting duo in a press release titled “Kate Scott and Jalal Bouzrara to Present 2024 CAF Awards.”

Kate Scott, a renowned sports presenter known for her work with CNN, SkySports, and CBS Sports, brings her global experience to the stage. A polyglot fluent in four languages, Scott has hosted esteemed events like the FIFA Ballon d’Or and the Laureus World Sports Awards.
Reflecting on the opportunity, Scott shared her enthusiasm: “It’s a privilege to be part of an event celebrating some of the most influential names in football. African football adds soul to the global game. The immense talent and cultural diversity across nations make it an essential heartbeat of the sport.”
Joining Scott is Moroccan journalist, Jalal Bouzrara, a veteran with over 30 years of experience in sports media. Bouzrara has produced iconic programs such as L’Match and L’Club. Having co-hosted the CAF Awards in 2022, he expressed pride in returning to the role: “It’s an honor to host the CAF Awards once again. This year’s list of nominees reflects the incredible evolution of African football, with stars excelling on the global stage.”

The 2024 CAF Awards will celebrate exceptional performances and contributions to African football. This year’s top five nominees for the Men’s Player of the Year include Achraf Hakimi, Ademola Lookman, Serhou Guirassy, Simon Adingra, and Inaki Williams.

With such remarkable talent in the spotlight, the Marrakech ceremony promises to be a memorable celebration of the achievements that continue to elevate African football on the global stage.
