The President of the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF), Dr. Patrice Motsepe, will visit Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda this week as the three nations set to co-host the 2024 Total Energies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN).

Dr. Motsepe’s tour begins on Thursday, December 19, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He will then proceed to Nairobi, Kenya, on the morning of Friday, December 20, before concluding his visit in Kampala, Uganda, that same afternoon.

During the three-nation tour, Dr. Motsepe will engage with government officials, football leaders, and the Local Organising Committees in each country. His agenda includes inspecting stadiums and training sites currently undergoing renovations in preparation for the highly anticipated tournament.

This visit follows CAF’s second inspection tour in November, where officials assessed various facilities, including stadiums, training sites, hotels, and airports, across the three host nations.

CAF President’s Three-Nation Tour Schedule

  • Thursday, December 19: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
  • Friday, December 20 (Morning): Nairobi, Kenya
  • Friday, December 20 (Afternoon): Kampala, Uganda

Dr. Motsepe’s tour highlights CAF’s commitment to ensuring that CHAN 2024 meets the highest standards and showcases the best of African football.
