Other squad members are Kehinde Amusa, wicketkeeper Deborah Bassey, Bieni Jessica, Omosigbo Eguakun, Victory Igbinedion, Naomi Memeh, Beauty Oguai, Inyene Umoh, and standout bowler Peace Usen.

The team is coached by Kenyan tactician Sarah Bakhita, with former Yellow Greens captain Blessing Etim serving as her assistant. This marks Nigeria’s second appearance at a Cricket World Cup, following the men’s U-19 team’s historic qualification for the 2019 edition in South Africa.

In Malaysia, the Junior Yellow Greens are drawn into Group C alongside New Zealand, South Africa, and Samoa.

Their campaign begins on January 18, 2025, with a clash against Samoa, followed by a match against New Zealand on January 20, and a final group-stage game against South Africa on January 22.

The 2025 ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup is the tournament’s second edition, with India entering as the defending champions. Nigeria’s young cricketers will aim to leave a mark on this global stage as they take on some of the world’s best.
