Slavia Prague has announced the signing of 20-year-old Nigerian midfielder, David Moses from Czech club MFK Karviná.
Moses, a product of Karviná’s academy, has inked a contract with the Czech giants that runs until December 31, 2029. The young playmaker is eager to follow in the footsteps of his Nigerian compatriots who have excelled at the club.

Moses made his competitive debut for Karviná in a domestic cup clash against Slavia Prague on November 18, 2022, a match Slavia won 2-0 with goals from Peter Olayinka and Lingr. During the 2023/24 season, he played 25 league matches, playing a crucial role in helping Karviná secure their top-flight status through a successful playoff campaign against Vyškov.
This season, Moses made 13 appearances for Karviná, contributing to their current 11th-place position in the league before making the move to Slavia.
Speaking after signing his five-year deal, Moses expressed his excitement and gratitude.

“I feel great, I’m very happy. It’s a big step for me,” Moses said to Slavia’s official website. He also credited Nigerian players at Slavia, including club legend Peter Olayinka, for inspiring him.
“I know Slavia players from Nigeria. Peter Olayinka is a legend. Ogbu is also doing well at Slavia. I also know Tijani; they are a great inspiration to me,” he added.
Slavia Prague, despite a recent league loss to Teplice, remain at the top of the Czech top flight with 50 points from 19 games, seven points ahead of Viktoria Plzeň and 13 points clear of reigning champions Sparta Prague.

Moses’ arrival bolsters Slavia’s squad as they aim to maintain their domestic dominance and strengthen their push for European success.
