Emergency services in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, were kept on high alert on Christmas morning following three separate road accidents involving single vehicles, leaving drivers with serious injuries.
The first crash occurred just after 5 a.m. on the N2 southbound near Spaghetti Junction, where paramedics found a critically injured driver. After stabilizing him at the scene, he was transported to a nearby hospital for urgent care.
Around 8:30 a.m., another vehicle overturned on the M19 near Otto Volek Road. The sole occupant sustained serious injuries and was swiftly stabilized by ALS paramedics before being rushed to the hospital.
The third accident happened shortly after 11 a.m. on the N2 northbound near Umgeni Road, where another single-vehicle rollover left the driver in serious condition. Emergency personnel stabilized the driver before transferring him to a local medical facility.
Police were present at all three crash sites and have launched investigations to determine the causes of these incidents.
