Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, on Thursday, visited former military president, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (rtd), at his residence in Minna, Niger State.
Sharing details of the visit on his X account, Obi described Babangida as a “father figure, elder statesman, and leader,” emphasizing that the meeting provided an opportunity to exchange thoughts on pressing national issues.
“The visit was an opportunity to wish him a happy New Year and to exchange thoughts on national issues,” Obi stated.
He further highlighted the significance of Babangida’s wisdom and perspective, expressing gratitude for the elder statesman’s guidance and counsel during their discussion.
