The Nigeria-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) has appointed Professor Ogechi Adeola, Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Kigali, as its International Trade Adviser.
This appointment was announced on the NBCC’s LinkedIn page, highlighting Professor Adeola’s extensive experience in both academics and the corporate world.
As a seasoned expert, Professor Adeola brings invaluable experience from her consulting roles with Afreximbank, where she worked on the African Sub-Sovereign Governments Network initiative.
This initiative aims to strengthen collaboration among sub-sovereign governments and advance intra-African trade and investment within the framework of the African Continental Free Trade Area.
Professor Adeola has also made significant contributions to policy recommendations on gender equality and inclusivity as a National Consultant for the International Labour Organisation on women’s entrepreneurship and economic empowerment project in Nigeria.
In response to her appointment, Professor Adeola expressed her gratitude to the NBCC and looks forward to working closely with the Chamber and its members to strengthen bilateral relations and drive impactful initiatives.
The NBCC is currently planning its 2025 Trade Mission to the United Kingdom.
